Dr. Werthman is regarded by the media as the leading expert on vasectomy reversals and is the microsurgeon featured on ABC's hit TV series, "Extreme Makeover" performing a vasectomy reversal. Drs. Werthman and Rothman have done more than 3000 vasectomy reversals and have appeared in the news on television, radio and in print on countless occasions. The doctors also write articles and speak extensively for Resolve and the American Infertility Association, and appear regularly in their newsletters as contributors and featured physicians. Dr. Werthman has edited a textbook on male infertility published by W.B. Saunders, the leading medical publisher, and was the male fertility consultant to the popular book, Staying Fertile Longer. The doctors have also given a myriad of lectures over the years at international and national fertility society and urology meetings as well as to local and regional physician and patient groups.
